Harlow STAR Value Range

Yes...that's right...we have decided to create a value range where each card is only £1. Why should you have to miss out on a lovely handmade cards just because you're on a budget.

Each card is made from old unused cardstock and embelishments and therefore we can afford to make lovely cards slightly cheaper...and therefore retail them cheaper too! There will still be the lovely sparkles, buttons and trademark Harlow STAR style and quality is still our highest priority. Here are some of our value creations...

Cards we have been working on recently

Going for the record!

3 blog updates and more to come! So much has been going on in the world of Harlow STAR!!

Easter is coming up in the next couple of weeks so we decided to make a small collection of Easter cards. They are becoming increasingly popular to send with Easter eggs or to give to someone to let them know you're thinking about them.

Here are two of my favourites...

I really do love the stamp I used in these...very ideal for easter time! The easter cards have been very popular and we only have the card above and one other left!

We have been working on lots of other cards to build up our stock but will upload these on the next update as the uploader thing is being difficult!

Custom Orders

Check me with two posts in one day!!

We have been snowed under with making plenty stock for craft fayres but also with custom orders. These have mostly been for Mothers Day cards and new babies! Definitely a baby boom at the moment! Here are a few of my favourite custom orders...

I really do love the "nan" card. It was for our beautiful little nephew to give to my mother-in-law on Mother's Day! Just lovely!

Dunblane Craft Market

Afternoon All!

Harlow STAR attended the Dunblane Craft Market on Sunday 3rd April. We were all excited for the event and had prepared more than enough! We worked a lot on our display and tried to have it set out in a way that would catch peoples attention.
The event on a whole was a bit disappointing with only a few sales. The weather wasn't great, the fact it was Mothers day probably didn't help and overall there weren't many crafters who managed to cover the cost of their table. It was a learning experience though and we did get a request for a large order of wedding stationary which was great!
I don't think we will be going back to Dunblane in the future though, I just felt it wasn't the right place for Harlow STAR.

It was also far too tempting being situated right next to the cake stall!

Prep Time

Afternoon All,

I know I've been quiet on here recently but that doesn't mean I've not been a busy bee. There has been a lot of prep for tomorrows craft fayre in Dunblane. We have made a custom orders display board with details on how to get a card custom made in four easy steps...we have also made more confetti (100pc per pack), packaged them all and priced them all...I've been super busy with wedding cards, engagement cards and anniversary cards. It's nice to work on one theme at a time. I've also made a few easter cards with my favourite little stamp which reads "All you need in life is a friend who has chocolate!" Perfect for easter!

I''ve been thinking a lot about the layout of our display for tomorrow. We will still have the same white table cloth but have bright pink baskets for the confetti, bookmarks etc and two large white cardboard displays for the cards as well as lots of handmade title cards which say "happy birthday", "new home", "congratulations" etc. Each has been hand crafted to show off what we can do as well as act as a little tag so items are easier noticed.

Got some new crafty stash the other day too but will upload with photo's tonight if I get a chance

We've been busy!

It's been a busy time since the last craft fayre...we have a big one at Dunblane on Sunday so have been spending lots of free time crafting and making sure I have enough stock! So far I think I only have to do some more wedding cards, engagement and some easter.

** apologies for the dodgy photo's, it was late and I was VERY tired **

I've also been busy with custom orders. I just recently finished this lovely little wedding card. It's different to the usual style I have for my wedding cards but I actually quite like it. Worth a little show on the blog anyway.

Also, I'm trying to think of ways to keep Harlow STAR different from other card crafters. I've never seen another range of cards with the same style as I have which is great...but I want to have that little something extra...so as well as the gift tags, bookmarks and memory boxes....welcome table confetti!

I made 15 packs of confetti. The shapes are either flowers or hearts and I made packs of baby girl, baby boy, black & white, wedding, pink, purple, green, orange, sparkly.....you name it, I made it! The confetti is great because it's all made out of different sheets of card so there is a very random selection of designs within each pack.
